After you fail your CFA exam, you need to retake the exam (unless you want to drop out of the CFA Program). If you fail your CFA exam, you have to pay again for the retake.

The strict work experience requirement for CFA charterholders is 4,000 hrs of qualified investment-related work experience gathered in at least 36 months.
